Villa Ambrosia – Tuscany – Chianti

Accommodates 8 - 4 Bedrooms - 4 Baths - Pool - Wi-Fi - A/C

It is so rare to find a four-bedroom villa in central Tuscany ideal for four couples. Usually, bedrooms are unequal or have poorly positioned bathrooms or have non-unifiable twin beds. Villa Ambrosia is one of the rare exceptions.

Location? Smack in the middle of the triangle formed by Siena, Arezzo, and Florence. Which is to say: the heart of Chianti country. The nearest village is Ambra. Villa Ambrosia is part of a large estate dotted with olive trees, vineyards, and oak woods. This location means you can go in any direction and find major sightseeing: north to Florence; west to San Gimignano and Volterra; east to Arezzo and Cortona; and south to Siena, Montepulciano, Montalcino, and the Val d’Orcia, in our opinion THE most beautiful landscape in all of Italy (and that’s saying something).

Villa Ambrosia’s owner, who personally furnished the villa, lives in a separate house a mile away on the same estate. The result? You’ve got total privacy, but you’ve not stranded without a nearby resource for things from restaurant advice to an unlikely minor plumbing problem. Villa Ambrosia features cotto floors and beamed ceilings throughout, for maximum authenticity. You really feel like you’re in a country villa. The grounds feature beautiful flowers and other plantings, plus a fantastic 5×16-meter infinity swimming pool with adjacent sauna and bath. A large patio features a barbeque and a real pizza oven.

Villa Ambrosia has everything it takes for a fabulous stay in the heart of the most desirable part of Tuscany

    • Big, comfortably furnished living room with satellite TV and fireplace
    • Dining room with French doors and a lovely view out onto the grounds
    • All-appliance kitchen with another fireplace
    • Guest half-bath (sink and WC)

    Up a stone staircase:

    • Three equal bedrooms, each with a matrimonial bed, one of which can be divided into twins
    • Three en-suite bathrooms: one with shower; one with shower over tub; one with tub, separate shower, and double sink
    • Large living room with fireplace, TV, stereo, and comfortable seating
    • Kitchenette with fridge and electric range
    • Bedroom with indivisible matrimonial bed
    • En-suite pink marble shower room.
    • Ambra, nearest village – 7km
    • Siena – 25km
    • Arezzo – 35km
    • Florence – 50km
    • Asciano (for the Crete Senesi) – 25km
    • Rapolano Terme -15km
    • Radda in Chianti – 20km

The approach road of about a kilometer in length is rather rough but easily manageable. Perhaps it’s not the road you want to take with the brand-new Mercedes you’ve just had factory-delivered from Germany!

The upstairs bedrooms are bunched together, just off a common landing, and thus very close together. All bathrooms are en-suite, so that this shouldn’t present a huge privacy issue. No one has ever complained about this. The guest house is clearly the “best” accommodation at the property.
